Southern Cross Austereo – one of Australia’s most progressive and exciting entertainment media companies – is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Technology Engineer to join our highly supportive, client-focused team in Sydney.

Your key focus in this position will be on providing technology based services to all areas of the business and also working extensively on new technology projects and installations. More specifically, you’ll be responsible for maintaining studio and broadcast technology on a daily basis, ensuring all equipment is functioning at optimal capacity and capability. You will also assist with long-term facility planning and ensuring we are embracing new technologies to deliver the most effective outcomes for our staff. This role requires expertise in information technology, audio, broadcasting and electronics.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Ideally have worked in radio; however candidates with a background in TV or other relevant industries are encouraged to apply
  • Have experience working with contemporary Information Technology infrastructure, operating systems, and applications
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in IT,  electronics/electrical engineering, or equivalent on the job experience
  • Have experience working with contemporary studio and RF transmission systems
  • Have exposure working with digital audio platforms and related technologies
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills, plus the ability to handle multiple tasks/deadlines at the same time
  • Have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills – you’re a team player
