Network Operations Technician
Canberra - Full time
Southern Cross Austereo – one of Australia’s most progressive and exciting entertainment based media companies – is looking for a skilled and motivated Network Operations Technician to join our Engineering Department in Canberra.
The 24/7 Network Operations Centre is responsible for managing remote transmission sites as well as satellite, microwave and fibre optic equipment used for the transmission and reception of television and data. The Network Operations Centre also assists with fault resolution in the Canberra Playout Centre.
We are looking for applicants that have:
- Excellent Communications skills essential.
- Passion for Technology and demonstrated recent learning.
- Good knowledge of Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Good knowledge of IT and data networking Technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift rotation.
- Recent experience working in a Network Operations Centre will be advantageous but recent graduates of a related field are also encouraged to apply.
