About the role:

We’re on the hunt for a Radio Sales Specialist to join our ACE Sales team based in Melbourne. The purpose of this role is to identify and implement strategies to maintain and improve SCA’s sales representation of the ACE Metro product. This role will maximise revenue potential to achieve station revenue budgets by working closely with a number of both internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Pro-actively maximise revenue opportunities through collaboration with sales teams nationally to drive both internal and external knowledge of ACE Metro opportunities.
  • Communicate opportunities for upselling or cross-selling with the sales team.
  • Work with and support sales teams in each market to identify tailored market/category insights that drive new business conversion and grow the national client base.
  • Management of ACE Metro partner relationships and contracts, ensuring sustainable service plans are in place.
  • Generate, coordinate and manage all ACE Metro collateral.
  • Work with the National Head of Radio Sales, Head of Boomtown Radio Strategy and RSA to review inventory management and pricing of national rate card, concessions and sales opportunities for distribution in each market.
  • Work with ACE Metro & national teams to constantly enhance and improve processes, systems and procedures to streamline sales process for sales teams.
  • Work with SCA’s research and insights team to collate relevant case studies and collateral to drive ACE Metro revenue.
  • Work with ACE Metro content and sponsorships teams to establish new opportunities to take to market for presentation to national teams.
  • Work with Metro Heads of Sales on large briefs and annual negotiations where required.
  • Utilise SCA’s planning and analysis tools to provide robust data and opportunities for growth nationally and work with sales management teams in each market to assist implement these plans and opportunities.
  • Work with Head of Sales in each market to develop and execute strategies to ensure set revenue targets are achieved monthly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Execute all duties in accordance with direction and deadlines communicated by management.

Experience we’re looking for:

  • A proven record in business solutions selling- with experience in the entertainment and media sector being highly advantageous.
  • An ability to foster and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A focus that is commercially minded and business orientated.
  • First-class negotiation and presentation skills
  • Extremely solid knowledge of the media landscape and a passion for the industry
  • 2 – 3 years’ customer focused background essential
  • 2 – 3 years’ successful sales / management experience desired
  • Local and interstate market knowledge desired
