As SCA’s next Journalist, you will be responsible for identifying, creating and delivering compelling news for our FM stations, our Apps, and Smart Speakers. Our successful candidate will be genuinely excited about providing our listeners with hyperlocal news and info in a variety of formats.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year full time commercial radio experience
  • A confident, conversational reading style which suits the Hit and Triple M Network brands
  • Experience with NewsBoss is preferred, but not required
  • An ability to handle tight deadlines and specific content requirements
  • An excellent knowledge of news and sport
  • A knowledge of Cairns, or the ability to immerse yourself within the local culture.
  • Willingness to challenge yourself with new approaches to newsgathering, and understand emerging media consumptions trends.
